Marketplace Ministry
Marketplace ministry is a movement of likeminded Christians who desire to share their faith and walk out their beliefs in the workplace.
Billy Graham once shared his strong belief that, “The next great move of God will be in the marketplace.”
For many decades, international Christian organizations have formed and blossomed in their pursuits of advancing the movement of marketplace ministry.
Simply put, marketplace ministry is the desire to integrate faith into one’s daily work, viewing a career as a form of ministry to serve God and others. This includes applying Christian values like integrity and compassion in secular environments and seeing professional roles as vocational calling. This is played out with joy as you get to use your skills and resources to make a positive impact for Christ through your work.
Marketplace ministry has been vibrant in our Reno-Tahoe region for many years now, although it’s not been well publicized. It’s the hope and prayer that many business leaders will join this local movement and that it will have a major impact in transforming our community for Christ.
Here are the many opportunities for you to join in this movement.
MONTHLY GATHERING
Christian Business Connections
Christian Business Connections is a group of business owners, professionals, and community leaders desiring to build relationships as they grow in deeper understanding of their ministry opportunities in the marketplace.
These networking events called Christian Business Connections are scheduled on the first Friday of each month at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are hosted at the Encounter Ministry building in South Reno (9222 Prototype Drive).
All are welcome to attend, and they feature a catered lunch. Purchase of tickets in advance is appreciated.

FCCI - Fellowship Of Companies For Christ International
The Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (FCCI) is a Christian organization that helps business owners and leaders integrate their faith into their work.
Business owners and leaders for weekly small group meetings centered around the “table” – a place for sharing challenges, seeking counsel, and supporting one another. The larger vision is equipping every Christian business owner involved in the larger goal of transforming their city for Christ.

Marketplace Chaplains
Marketplace Chaplains is the largest and longest continuing provider of workplace chaplains to corporate America today.
Over 2,200 chaplains now serve from California to Massachusetts, providing personal care for more than 1,400,000 employees and family members.
One of the communities with the largest number of chaplains per capita is here in Northern Nevada.
