Looking for some time of faith, family and fireworks? Here’s a list of all of the America 250 festive events in our Reno-Tahoe region and beyond. 

It’s a great opportunity to thank God for our nation and for the freedoms we have to share our faith. It’s a wonderful time to pray for our country’s future.

With so many fantastic events planned, the hardest part is deciding which to choose. Regardless, the skies will undoubtably be filled with brilliant colors, and a dazzling display of lights.

STAR SPANGLED SPARKS
Saturday, July 4, 2026, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. — The Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks is once again hosting the area’s largest Independence Day party and fireworks display, fired off from the roof of the Nugget. The event has free admission, free parking, and features live music, food and beverage vendors and arts and crafts booths. Festivities culminate with fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m. Dogs, barbecues, tents and glass bottles are not permitted on Victorian Square during special events.

JULY 4 FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR
Saturday, July 4, 2026, 9:30 p.m. — Join Silver Legacy, Eldorado, and Circus Circus Reno for a dazzling night under the stars in the heart of downtown Reno. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. from the Silver Legacy. The Saturday, July 4 Fireworks Spectacular lights up the sky in celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States. At 9:30 p.m., be out on Virginia Street as the city comes alive with color, music, and unforgettable energy. Don’t miss the biggest bang of the summer.

RED, WHITE, AND FLIGHT
Saturday, July 4, 2026, 6-10 p.m. — Join a Red, White and Flight celebration, an uplifting evening honoring America’s 250th birthday. This free event will light up the sky with an awe-inspiring drone show, fill the air with a live Reno Phil concert, and elevate imaginations with an interactive expo for all ages. Experience the Fourth of July, where patriotism soars, innovation takes flight, and possibility reaches new heights at Mackay Stadium on the University of Nevada campus. FIREWORKS OVER GRAND BAY
Saturday, July 4, 2026, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Join GSR to celebrate Independence Day with a grand fireworks display over Grand Bay beginning at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.). The best viewing locations are on the south side of the casino-resort facing Grand Bay and at The Pool. Fun for the entire family, entry to The Pool is $30 per adult and is free for children 5 and under. Food available from food trucks and The Grill at The Pool. Free viewing from the parking lot is subject to availability. The Grand Sierra is at 2500 E. 2nd St. in Reno.

4th ON FOURTH PARADE
Saturday, July 4, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. — The City of Reno invites the community to this year’s 4th on Fourth Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in downtown Reno. Festivities start at 10 a.m. The parade’s theme is “America 250: The 4th on Fourth” to honor the country’s 250th anniversary of signing the Declaration of Independence. An opening ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with the National Anthem performed by Camille Davis and saxophonist Eddie Duran Jr. The ceremony will take place at the start of the parade route near Gold Dust West on Fourth Street. There will also be a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at Gold Dust West.

AMERICA 250 AT GREATER NEVADA FIELD
Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 4 p.m. — The Aces are celebrating America’s 250th birthday right here at Greater Nevada Field on July 4th. Join them in Downtown Reno for a night you’ll never forget featuring pregame activities (carnival games, DJ Happy Hour, home run showdown, pie eating contest & more), a California Collegiate League All-Star game (starts at 6:35 p.m.), and their biggest fireworks show of the year.

4TH OF JULY DINNER & FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR IN CARSON CITY
Saturday, July 4, 2026, 6-10 p.m. – Carson City’s 4th of July & Fireworks Event, a longstanding tradition in our state’s Capital City, marks its 32nd year this July 4th. This year’s 4th of July Fireworks Event serves as a fundraiser for the Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program (RSVP), which has provided invaluable volunteer-delivered services for seniors for 54 years. Sign up and get dinner and front row seats for the fireworks at the Eagle Valley Golf Course, 3999 Centennial Park Drive. Access to the golf course is limited to those with dinner tickets, but fireworks will be visible from many areas of Carson City near the golf course.

4TH OF JULY PARADE AND FIREWORKS IN VIRGINIA CITY
Saturday, July 4, 2026, Noon to Midnight — Virginia City’s 4th of July is pure Americana with a jovial atmosphere all day and night. The streets are decked in red, white and blue. The parade is full of candy-throwing, classic cars, first responders, military, veteran organizations and more.

LIGHTS ON THE LAKE AT SOUTH LAKE TAHOE
Saturday, July 4, 2026, 9:45 p.m. — This is a famous location for viewing fireworks. Ranked by the American Pyrotechnics Association as one of the top five Fourth of July fireworks displays in the country. The best viewing spots for the fabulous show are South Lake Tahoe beaches including Lakeview Commons/El Dorado Beach area, Nevada Beach, Tallac Historic Site, Timber Cove Marina, Edgewood Tahoe, Lakeside Beach, and on the lake aboard M.S. Dixie II Paddle Wheeler or private boat rentals.

TAHOE CITY 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATIONS
Saturday, July 4, 2026, 9:30 p.m. — Following day long activities, Tahoe City wants to “keep the boom alive” as it moved away last year from several years of hosting a drone show to returning to good ol’ fashioned fireworks. You can enjoy the Lake all day with food, drinks, and activities taking place on Commons Beach and throughout Tahoe City.

TRUCKEE 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS & WEST END BEACH CELEBRATION
Saturday, July 4, 2026, beginning at 7 a.m. Starting with a pancake breakfast, then a one-mile run, and a 4th of July parade, Truckee will be in full celebration. It’s a rather renowned party for locals highlighted at the end by Truckee’s annual fireworks show. It’s located at West End Beach at Donner Lake. The fireworks show starts at 9:30 pm and ends around 10 pm. While the West End Beach celebration is only open to Truckee-Donner Recreation and Parks District residents (and tickets for them is $25 each), fireworks are visible from around the lake and nearby trails, so there are many ways to watch.

4TH OF JULY IN GRAEAGLE
Saturday, July 4, 2026, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Graeagle is hosting three days of family friendly events including Nevada gun fighters street shows and Civil War reenactors. Fireworks start time is at dusk. The fireworks are launched from the Mill Pond grass area. For this reason, the Mill Pond grass and shoreline will be cleared of visitors by noon. You can view the fireworks show from many vantage points in and around Graeagle. Some popular spots are the Mill Pond entrance, parking lot at the Graeagle Store and The Graeagle Outpost.
