Featuring the latest news regarding the Reno-Tahoe CityFest (August 23-24 at San Rafael Park), this is your go-to online source for all of the updates regarding this citywide movement.
Also, you’ll discover here on Hope Herald the many stories of Christian leaders in our community who are working diligently and faithfully to bring the Good News to a community desperate to hear and embrace it.
You’ll enjoy interviews with pastors, ministry leaders, and many of those whose lives have been changed by encounters with Jesus Christ.
Hope Herald was co-founded by Reno local Christian business leader Michael K. Reynolds and Pastor Jesse Bradley, who leads Grace Community Church in Auburn, Washington. Together they launched Just Choose Hope, a ministry aimed at assisting cities to lead their communities to Christ through the positive and empowering Biblical truths.
Here in Reno, Hope Herald is brought to the community through the generous support of the local chapter of the Fellowship of Companies for Christ, International, a global organization of business leaders seeking to operate their companies in a way that honors God and makes a Kingdom difference.
The purpose of Hope Herald is to offer Communication, Collaboration, and Community to this combined effort of Reno-Tahoe Christian leaders to bring revival and a return to God in this beautiful place we call home.
The One Vision
Many Christian leaders in the Reno-Tahoe area will share with some disappointment that only 5% of our community has a church home. Only this small portion of the community is engaged in furthering the Gospel in our region.
Also true, however, is that 5% of our population is plenty of people in our community to create a true revival.
But, this will only happen if each of us embrace our God-given ministry to share hope and the truth of Jesus with others.
This movement is already underway, as pastors and leaders of our churches are beginning to work together in new and encouraging ways to lead our community to Christ.
It is the prayer of Hope Herald that this story will be told here in a fresh and compelling way.

We have never needed the voice of Jesus more. We are desperate to linger in God’s presence.
The vision of Just Choose Hope is to initiate a movement to ignite our faith, to unite us in our ministries, and to have all Believers take flight in leading our cities and nations for Christ.
God has provided us with all the hope required to accomplish this mission. Now is the time to receive these gifts in full and to respond to our divine calling.
The world is drifting away from God, but we want to draw near. There is a narrative of hopelessness, but we reject that and choose hope. While many people are neglecting Scripture, we want more of the Bible.
People in our nation are leaving churches, but we believe local churches are essential and God’s plan for us. Many people are becoming self-consumed and humanistic, but we want to be filled with the Holy Spirit and generous.
We believe God wants to do a mighty work in our hearts, homes, churches, and cities. We want to be faithful, humble, bold, intentional, and full of the hope of Jesus, even if it is counter cultural.

Jeff discusses the importance of discipleship and equipping all believers to live out their faith in every aspect of life, not just within the walls of the church. He encourages all Christians to be disciple-makers and to see their everyday lives as an expression of their love for Christ.
How do we lead a city to Christ? The way to do this is for the knowledge of God’s glory to saturate every area of life, with believers displaying the character of Christ in their workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities.

Christ Together is an organization that aims to unify churches across the United States to reach cities with the gospel. The executive director, Will Plitt, shares his faith journey of going from being disillusioned with the church to becoming a pastor and eventually leading Christ Together.
He describes how Christ Together was formed by a group of pastors who recognized the need for a shift in the church’s priorities, moving away from a focus on individual church growth and towards taking responsibility for reaching entire cities and regions with the gospel.
